These are just three of the comments that came out of the recent Social Media Training Day held in Swindon.

MD, Ant Hodges hosted a day of social media training and insight into the world of blogging (led by Alison Neale) and web video (led by Jay Blake). The day was structured with teaching, insight and practical workshops so that people could walk away with an action plan of how they could put things into place.

Ant started with an overview of where social media is at today and why businesses need to be engaging in Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and the other major social media platforms. Alison led some great teaching about how to start blogging, plan your blogs and a workshop on generating content ideas to start blogging right away. Jay’s knowledge and insight into video was shared after lunch, with a hands on workshop to help frame and set up a video correctly. The day was then finished with Ant giving an overview of the major platforms, how much you should be updating them and a lesson in using Hootsuite to manage it all.
